Call for papers

The scientific committee invites submission for contributed talks, junior scientist presentations, and poster presentations. A more or less final paper or a draft paper (with at least 6 pages) should be submitted electronically before August 1, 2012 as a pdf file. All participants have to register before submitting a paper.

Researchers who received their Ph.D. after October 2007 or expect to graduate by November 2014 may register as "junior scientist" (a detailed CV has to be submitted during registration). Junior scientists may apply for a travel award (an option offered during registration). The exact number and amount of travel awards is still under discussion and will be announced closer to the meeting. Papers submitted by junior scientists will be eligible for the Special Session of Junior Scientist Presentations.

The scientific committee decides upon acceptance of submitted papers and will notify the authors (by Aug. 22th) within the next few days. All accepted papers will be presented at the meeting either as contributed talks, junior scientist presentations, or at the poster presentation. 15 contributed talks and 4 junior scientist presentations will be selected from the submissions based on the quality, novelty, and timeliness of the submitted paper. The remaining accepted papers are presented during the poster session which is meant as an informal forum to encourage discussion of ongoing research projects and communicate experiences with the application of well-developed, previously published Bayesian methods to specific problems and data sets. Rejected papers will not be part of the scientific program.

Please note: For any accepted paper to be considered in the final program, full registration including payment details has to be finished before September 30, 2012.
